We are excited to announce that HelpWire, our versatile remote desktop software, now supports Linux! With this update, HelpWire extends its compatibility beyond Windows and macOS, enabling users to access computers across all major platforms. This expansion underscores our commitment to providing a comprehensive and inclusive remote support app for home and professional use.

HelpWire is designed to be user-friendly and powerful, excelling in ease of use and quick setup. With the addition of Linux support, users can now enjoy HelpWire’s robust features across a wider range of devices and operating systems. Specifically, HelpWire supports: 

  • • DEB packages: Ubuntu 18.04, 20.04, 22.04, 24.04; Debian 11 “bullseye”, 12 “bookworm”. 
  • • RPM packages: CentOS 9, RHEL 9, Fedora 39, and 40.

It’s important to note that the team is rolling out all functionality step by step, starting with the release of the operator module. The client module is still being tested but will be available soon.
